For years, my house was more than just a structure—it was a reflection of a life I thought I would build, but never truly settled into. It was my marital home, a space where memories were made, lessons were learned, and where I, in many ways, outgrew my old self. But now, the time has come to say goodbye, and I am ready—truly ready—to let go and start fresh.
I never imagined I would stay this long. When I first moved in, I always had a lingering feeling that this wasn’t my forever home. Even when I was married, something inside me knew that this chapter would eventually close. That intuition led me to live in the house differently—I never invested in expensive furniture, never hired a home organizer, and never splurged on an interior designer. It was as if I was subconsciously waiting for the moment when I would leave.
And that moment is now. 3 years post divorce.
I am excited about this transition—not just about selling the house, but about stepping into a new phase of my life with clarity and excitement. For now, I’m moving into an apartment while I search for my dream home—or maybe even build it. This time, I will create a space that feels truly mine, one that reflects my vision, my style, and my future. For the first time, I’m looking forward to decorating, to making a space warm and inviting, to indulging in those little details that make a house a home.
But more than anything, I am excited to move forward in my life without waiting. No longer waiting for the perfect situation, the perfect timing, or the perfect person. Just doing what feels right, trusting my journey, and embracing the freedom that comes with making choices for myself and my daughter.
She deserves a home she can grow up in, a place filled with love, warmth, and stability. And I deserve a space where I can thrive, where I can continue to build the life I want without hesitation or compromise.
So, here’s to new beginnings. Here’s to letting go of what no longer serves me and embracing what’s ahead. Here’s to a future filled with possibility, with open spaces, with a yard to play in, and a home that finally feels like home.
The best part? I’m not waiting anymore—I’m moving forward, fully and unapologetically.
